Sixteenth Annual Golf Outing
Thanks to all those who attended our Sixteenth Annual Golf Outing, and helped
to make it a success!

Melvin “Vinnie” Schumer
|
Vinnie is
always smiling. He loves to joke with everyone
and have a big roaring laugh. Vinnie came to
live at St. John’s Villa in May of 1994. He is
the son of Melvin and Jeanne Lyden Schumer and
has 3 sisters and 6 brothers. Vinnie’s parents
live in Canfield, Ohio and have a winter home in
Jupiter, Florida. His family remains very close
to him. He receives phone calls, cards,
letters, goes on home visits and vacations with
his family often.
Vinnie lives in
Villa St. Francis with seven other housemates.
He participates in all the household tasks, but
prefers to set the table at dinnertime. Vinnie
enjoys talking about airplanes, astronauts, and
cowboys. Vinnie also enjoys looking at his
books, talking about other cultures, and going
to the movies. He has a cowboy hat and pair of
boots that he loves to wear.
Vinnie maintains a
busy schedule working at the Cain Wood Shop on
Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in the afternoon
and mornings at the Villa balloon shop. Vinnie
also works Monday and Wednesday in the Villa
restaurant.
Vinnie is a big
part of the St. John’s Villa family. His smile
and laughter will certainly bring a smile to
your face and add some joy to your day. |
